Santa Rev
Even the First Lady of Aggieland gets into the Christmas spirit.
Santa Rev brings together two things Aggies have very little trouble getting excited about: Christmas and Miss Rev. Dressed for the season in her Santa hat and holiday attire, she still has that unmistakable Reveille expression — bright, attentive, and just dignified enough to remind everyone that beneath the Christmas outfit, she remains the Queen of Aggieland.
Handcrafted and hand-painted by Finch & Timber artist and proud Texas A&M Class of ’94 graduate Dawn, Santa Rev is filled with carefully painted details, from the soft variations and markings of Reveille’s collie coat to the rich holiday reds, fluffy white trim, and subtle highlights and shadows that bring the piece to life.
She’s festive without losing what makes her special in the first place. For an Aggie Christmas, it’s hard to imagine a more welcome face coming home for the holidays.

About This Piece
Craftsmanship & Details
Handcrafted for Aggieland
Santa Rev brings a little Christmas spirit to Aggieland, pairing Reveille’s unmistakable collie features with a festive Santa hat and holiday personality. Dawn’s detailed painting gives special attention to Rev’s expression and coat, while the rich reds, soft white trim, highlights, and shadows of the Santa hat give the piece warmth and dimension.
The artwork begins on a carefully prepared wood panel and is painted in stages. After the initial painting, the silhouette is individually cut and the edges are sanded and primed. The piece then returns to the easel for final painting, edge work, touch-ups, and the small artistic decisions that happen along the way.
Because that process is done by hand, subtle variations in brushwork, color, texture, alignment, and finish are a natural part of the work. Each Santa Rev will have a character of her own.

Additional mounting hardware is also included for an optional rebar-style installation, giving Santa Rev another way to be displayed in a yard or landscape.
The completed piece receives an exterior-grade clear spar urethane protective finish and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor display. As with any handcrafted painted artwork, a protected or partially sheltered outdoor location will help preserve its appearance and finish over time.
Made One at a Time
Santa Rev is individually cut, painted, finished, and assembled rather than mass-produced. The result is a piece of handcrafted artwork in which small differences are not imperfections, but part of what makes each one distinctly its own.
